Dr. Jeffrey Yocum, DO
Dr. Yocum is a licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with over 25 years of clinical experience. In 1983 he founded his independent private practice – Yocum Associates. Dr. Yocum has been involved with the Lebanon County Coroner’s office as Deputy Coroner and Lebanon County Coroner since 1983. His experience in this role has shed light on the drug epidemic we are seeing in our communities, and has motivated Dr. Yocum to help come up with solutions to battle this horrible disease. In 2009, Dr. Yocum became a Diplomat for the American Board of Addiction Medicine. With this certification, Dr. Yocum has had experience as a Medical Director for 6 different Drug and Alcohol treatment centers, and has vast experience assisting clients in detox and in residential treatment. Dr. Yocum is a 1977 graduate of Bucknell University and a 1982 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. David F. O’Connell, PhD, MS, CFC, DABPS
Dr. O’Connell is a licensed psychologist (Pa., NM & IA) with 4 decades of clinical experience. He has been in independent clinical practice in Pottsville, Pa., since 2008.Previously, he was in private practice in West Lawn, PA. and a psychologist with Berks Psychiatric and Behavioral Health Services in Wyomissing, Pa. For 20 years, he was a consulting psychologist to Caron Addiction Treatment Center in Wernersville, Pa. He also served for 5 years as Clinical Director of Adult & Adolescent Services at Caron. He was a psychologist and clinical supervisor at 2 inpatient addictions treatment centers, ARC/The Terraces and New Beginnings at Hidden Brook, as well as an outpatient chemical dependency treatment program, Berks Counseling Center, in Reading, Pa.Dr. O’Connell is the author/editor of 8 books and over a dozen journal articles. He has done research on group development in the treatment of alcoholics and on the effectiveness of drug & alcohol abuse programs on college campuses. He served on the editorial board of The Journal of Adolescent Chemical Dependency. He is an international trainer and has provided training to The National Security Agency, The DuPont Corporation, AT&T and The Red Cross. He serves on the science committee for PTSD- Africa and on the consulting board of Lifeworks, an addictions treatment program in Great Britain. He is a member of The American Board of Medical Psychology.
Dr. O’Connell has been an instructor at Alvernia University, Penn State University and the graduate school of Rosemont College. He has held prescriptive authority in New Mexico since 2011 and is a prescribing psychologist there, consulting to family practice physicians. He is registered with the DEA and has a license to prescribe controlled substances from the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy. He is a board certified forensic & addictions psychologist and Fellow & Diplomat with The American College of Forensic Examiners Institute.
Dr. O’Connell received his Ph.D. from Temple University and a post-doctoral M.S. degree in clinical psychopharmacology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is listed in Contemporary Authors, Who’s Who in the World and is listed in the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
Dr. John Conahan, LCSW, CAC, Ph.D
Dr. Conahan is an Associate Professor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. He holds a Doctorate in Human Development with a specialization in social work. His Master’s of Social Work degree is from Marywood University and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Belknap College. Dr. Conahan is also Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor in Pennsylvania. Dr. Conahan’s 40 years of experience as a generalist practitioner has included the provision of services to individuals, groups and families, community, organizations development,clinical management and administrative management positions in the field of substance abuse treatment.

Yoga classes, meditation, and religious services give our clients the tools they need to build spiritual awareness. For physical improvement, we provide an exercise room as well as a certified nutritionist. Through group, family and individual therapy, our clients can begin healing mentally and emotionally.
